Our Green Spaces Portfolio team is responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of our village green spaces.
Working in collaboration with community volunteers, it supports the maintenance of our parks, gardens, and open spaces. This involves regular upkeep, landscaping and the management of facilities.
There is also a growing focus on promoting and restoring our climate resilient and water wise indigenous fynbos vegetation.
The group liaises with relevant stakeholders in negotiating and overseeing the clearing and maintenance of firebreaks and the eradication of alien invasive vegetation. This is done to reduce the risk of wildfires and to restore and preserve our biodiversity.
The group strives to enhance the beauty of our village, promote our indigenous floral heritage and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors and residents.
